The AVED is a lightweight, hoistable, and high-strength extraction device, made of 1050D ballistic nylon with military specification straps.
It allows for the rapid lifting or short-distance extraction of conscious and uninjured survivors.
It can be used for double lifting (patient + rescuer) or single extraction. The design, developed by SaR/HEMS professionals, prioritizes simplicity, efficiency, and operational speed.
The robust structure includes an internal chest strap suitable for different body types, an adjustable safety strap, a webbing ring, and oversized lifting rings for immediate attachment. The SOLAS retroreflective strips and loops for chemical lights ensure visibility in nighttime or critical conditions.
The multiple handles along the back facilitate ground handling, while the Tagline/Trailine points improve load stabilization.
The AVED comes with a liftable carrying bag, equipped with integrated accessory pockets and a large handle compatible with the hoist hook. An internal webbing loop and a Fastec buckle allow the bag to be secured inside the device during recovery, preventing loss or obstruction.
Fields of use
- Military: rapid evacuation of wounded but conscious personnel from combat zones.
- Civil protection: extrication from damaged buildings, flooded areas, fires, or hazardous areas.
- Medical: support in mass emergencies to move patients able to walk but debilitated.
- CBRN: extraction of victims from contaminated environments with reduced direct contact.
