The Tri-SAR is the first professional harness for helicopter rescue hoisting equipped with an integrated flotation device and dual recovery capability. This equipment is standard for the U.S. Navy Aviation and for the U.S. Navy Surface Rescue Swimmers. The Tri-SAR combines the safety of a full-body harness, the comfort of a sit harness, and the safety of the integrated flotation device. It is constructed from Mil-Spec fabric, low profile, with quickly adjustable stainless steel components. During hoisting, the vertical, slightly reclined and seated position allows for free use of the hands.
It is ideal for rapid deployment in swift/cold water or on cliffs. The wide straps on the legs and waist optimally distribute weight for superior comfort and support without the use of heavy, bulky padding. The flotation vest is easy to use and allows for comfortable swimming, with variable buoyancy up to 35 lbs. (oral or manual CO2 inflation). The enclosed shape does not require repacking after use; it simply deflates. Supplied with pockets to hold rescue and emergency equipment.
Uses 33 g CO2 cylinders.
