MOBOS® - MAN OVERBOARD SEARCH SYSTEM
MOBOS® is an independent Man Overboard Operating System for locating and rapid rescue action of the missing person in any sea weather condition.
The majority of serious accidents resulting from a crew member falling overboard occur in optimal weather conditions, but if the sea is very rough the situation can easily become dramatic.
Regattas as well as pleasure boating are just some of the situations in which the chances of falling into the water increase considerably.
Spotting a man overboard in the absence of waves and at close range may seem easy, but even a 40-centimeter wave is enough to make sighting difficult and lengthen recovery times.
Adopted by many sailing schools and boaters and also used by the naval units of the German and Italian Coast Guard, the MOBOS (Men Over Board System) is a fundamental safety device during navigation and sports activities at sea.
